Man, I love me some Disney games. The quality can vary drastically depending on which title you pick up, but back in the day if you picked up a 2D Disney platformer then it was a safe bet that you'd have one hell of a fun time. No side-series personified this ideal better than the "Illusion" series - namely, Castle of Illusion, World of Illusion and Land of Illusion.
These games were some of the best Mickey Mouse platformers ever made, and so Disney and Dreamrift (the creators of games such as Henry Hatsworth) teamed up to create a spiritual successor to Castle of Illusion. The main antagonist of the original game, Mizrabel, is back and so is the iconic castle itself, but this time the paint and thinner mechanics of the Epic Mickey games are incorporated, leading to some action-based puzzles and the like.
Oh, and there's an RPG-esque quest system to boot, if that's your thing.
